FVDD: Welcome

Welcome to the FVDD

Please select your search option from the left-hand menu bar – or return to Home.

Events allows you to explore the histories of the areas or organisations you're interested in and link through to the archive material from which the histories are drawn.

Documents allows you to go straight to the archive material (such as minutes of committee meetings, letters, reports, catalogues and publicity material etc).

Selecting Find allows you to search using keywords or your own search terms.

Selecting List allows you to browse through all the Events or Documents in the database.

Use the Search Tips in the left-hand menu bar and the green help buttons on the search menu pages to get the best results from your searches.

If you are a new user, you may find it helpful to read our: Short Introduction to the Database

FVDD is an ongoing project. New material is being added all the time, and the database's coverage will become more comprehensive as its content expands. If you are interested in helping add new material, or have material you think might be relevant, contact Julia Knight.
